Imperia hosts maritime events and Navy ship visits
The city of Imperia is hosting several maritime-themed events as part of the 40th anniversary of the Vele d’Epoca and the Imperia Sailing Week 2026.
Two prestigious Italian Navy ships, the Stella Polare and the Palinuro, will be docked in the port. The Stella Polare is scheduled to be in the city from September 2 to 5, returning from its 2026 training campaign, while the Palinuro will be moored from September 2 to 6. Both vessels will be open to the public for visits.
Additionally, the Museo Navale di Imperia will host a special educational initiative for children aged 6 to 12 titled “Piccoli esploratori in museo” from September 1 to 4. The program includes thematic sessions on sea turtles, cetaceans, jellyfish, and underwater archaeology.
