Imperia to host 40th anniversary of Vele d’Epoca sailing event

The Vele d’Epoca di Imperia is celebrating its 40th anniversary in 2026. As part of the festivities, the Gulf of Imperia will host the 12mR GP World from August 29 to September 1, 2026, as part of the Imperia Sailing Week.

The event will feature the 12 Metre International Class, a group of historic racing yachts developed under the International Rule introduced in 1907. These vessels are recognized for their design evolution and competitive history, managed internationally by the International Twelve Metre Association.

Scheduled to take place between August 28 and September 6, the gathering serves as a major Mediterranean event for classic nautical heritage. The program includes regattas across various categories, technical meetings, boat parades along the coast, and community events such as historical conferences and gala dinners.
