Imran Khan’s health deteriorates in jail, son urges international help
Former Pakistani prime minister and ex‑cricket captain Imran Khan has been held in solitary confinement at Adiala jail for roughly 1,100 days since his August 2023 conviction in the Toshakhana corruption case. His son, 26‑year‑old Kasim Khan, posted on X pleading for urgent medical treatment, saying his father’s eyesight is rapidly worsening, with only about 15 percent vision remaining in the right eye.
Kasim, who lives in the United Kingdom with his brother, said the family has had no contact with Imran Khan since March and lacks any information about his medical care. He criticised Pakistan’s military‑backed government as authoritarian and called on the international community to intervene to ensure proper health care for his father.
