Imran Khan's sister alleges torture and injustice in detention
Uzma Khan, sister of former Pakistani Prime Minister Imran Khan, has accused authorities of subjecting him to torture and severe injustice during his detention. Following a meeting at the Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS), Khan alleged that her brother has been subjected to prolonged solitary confinement and deprived of human contact and books.
Khan's family and legal team claim the government failed to comply with a Supreme Court order to transfer him from Adiala Jail to Shifa International Hospital for medical care. Instead, Khan was briefly taken to PIMS before being returned to his cell. During the medical evaluation, Uzma Khan noted that doctors only examined his eye, despite concerns regarding his deteriorating health.
Despite these allegations of mistreatment, Uzma Khan stated that Imran Khan's physical health appeared stable during the visit, noting a blood pressure reading of 120/80.
