Imran Khan's sister files contempt petition in Pakistan Supreme Court

Uzma Khan, the sister of former Pakistani Prime Minister Imran Khan, has filed a second contempt of court petition in the Supreme Court. The legal challenge concerns the non-implementation of a judicial order issued on August 18.

The petition alleges that authorities have failed to enforce directives that granted Imran Khan weekly visits with his sisters and virtual communication with his sons, Kasim and Sulaiman Khan. According to the filing, Uzma Khan was denied a scheduled visit on Tuesday, and audio communication with his sons has reportedly been restricted since March.

Several high-ranking officials are named as respondents in the plea, including Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, Adiala Jail Superintendent Sajid Baig, Punjab Inspector General of Prisons Mian Salik Jalal, Ministry of Interior Secretary Ahmed Sarwar Raza, and Islamabad Capital Territory Chief Commissioner Sohail Ashraf. The petition requests that the court issue directives to ensure the necessary infrastructure and arrangements are made to facilitate these court-ordered family contacts.
