IMSS expands cultural programming in Mexico
The Mexican Social Security Institute (IMSS) is expanding its cultural outreach through various initiatives. In Veracruz Sur, the institute will present the “Escenarios IMSS-Cultura” program at the Teatro Córdoba. Led by cultural promoter Ramiro Sorcia Hernández, the program aims to provide accessible artistic activities, including theater, music, and dance, to the public and IMSS beneficiaries.
Additionally, IMSS is collaborating with the National Institute of Fine Arts and Literature (INBAL) and the Secretariat of Culture to present a theatrical production of “El eterno femenino.” Written by the renowned Mexican author and diplomat Rosario Castellanos, the play will be performed free of charge at the Teatro Reforma in Mexico City from August 28 to October 11. The production serves as a tribute to Castellanos and her exploration of gender stereotypes in Mexican society.
