Inaê Soto40 Transbrasa tests crew rotations at Copa Mitsubishi

The Inaê Soto40 Transbrasa sailing team returned to competition during the third stage of the Copa Mitsubishi in Ilhabela. Following a period of maintenance and boat adjustments, the crew used the event to test new personnel combinations and role rotations in preparation for the 2026 Brazilian Ocean Championship.

During the regattas, the team experimented with different positions, including having the bowman take control of the helm. Commander Bayard Umbuzeiro Neto expressed satisfaction with the crew's adaptability, noting that the rotation demonstrated the team's ability to fill any position on the boat.

In the three races completed, the team secured fourth place in the ORC Performance class and seventh place in the overall ORC classification. These tests also serve as preparation for the upcoming Santos–Rio Regatta, a 200-mile course that requires high levels of crew rotation and responsibility sharing.
