Incheon City expands support to become Northeast Asian cruise hub

Incheon City is intensifying efforts to establish Incheon Port as a major cruise hub in Northeast Asia. With the number of overseas cruise tourists expected to reach approximately 200,000 this year, the city is implementing enhanced transportation and tourism support systems to boost the local economy.

Cruise arrivals at Incheon Port are seeing rapid growth, with the number of calls projected to rise from 32 in 2025 to 113 in 2026. Additionally, 'Fly & Cruise' operations, which link Incheon International Airport with the port, have expanded from 2 calls in 2023 to 11 calls in 2026.

To support these visitors, the city has increased the deployment of 'Incheon Cruise Buddy' guides and is operating free shuttle buses to major commercial and tourist districts, including Songdo and Sinpo. On October 16, the 30,277-ton Azamara Pursuit arrived at the Incheon Port Cruise Terminal, carrying approximately 900 passengers and crew.
