Incheon expands real-time parking data to private lots

Incheon Metropolitan City is expanding its real-time parking information services to include private parking lots, aiming to improve citizen convenience and reduce urban traffic congestion. Previously, the service focused primarily on public parking facilities through the Incheon Traffic Information Center website.

To facilitate this expansion, the city signed a business agreement with the private parking platform company iParking on the 21st. Under this agreement, iParking will link real-time availability data from private parking lots to the city’s system, which will then be accessible to citizens via the Incheon Traffic Information Center website. The city also plans to open this private parking data to public data portals to support the development of navigation services and mobile applications.

Additionally, Incheon plans to expand the scope of real-time information for public parking lots by adding 20 more locations this September. The city's goal is to establish an integrated parking information system that consolidates scattered data from various public and private sources.
