Incheon institutions launch community and industry initiatives

Educational and industrial institutions in Incheon are conducting various initiatives to strengthen regional ties and career development.

Incheon National University and the SSG Landers collaborated to host an event for approximately 470 foreign residents and multicultural families in the Yeonsu, Namdong, and Michuhol districts. The event, centered around a professional baseball game at SSG Landers Field, aimed to foster a sense of belonging and community within the global city of Incheon.

Separately, the Incheon Global Campus (IGC) organized a field visit to STATS ChipPAC Korea for approximately 90 students and graduates. Following a previous memorandum of understanding, the visit allowed participants to observe semiconductor back-end processes and receive career mentoring. The initiative seeks to bridge the gap between academic learning and the semiconductor industry, specifically in advanced packaging sectors used in AI and autonomous driving.
