Incheon Municipal Dementia Nursing Home to open following management agreement

Incheon Metropolitan City has signed a management entrustment agreement with the Human Welfare Association to operate the Incheon Municipal Dementia Nursing Home, which is scheduled for completion on the 27th.

Located in Gyeyang-gu, the facility spans five floors with a total floor area of 2,980.35 square meters. It is equipped with specialized spaces including dementia-dedicated rooms, physical therapy rooms, sensory stimulation rooms, and program rooms. The facility utilizes a ‘unit-type’ spatial structure, grouping bedrooms and living rooms into small units to mimic a home environment, which aims to provide emotional stability for residents.

The Human Welfare Association will manage the facility for the next five years, implementing professional programs designed to alleviate dementia symptoms and maintain physical functions. The partnership seeks to combine public infrastructure stability with private sector expertise to reduce the caregiving burden on families and provide professional services for dementia patients.
