Incheon Port Authority hosts K-culture event for ferry passengers

The Incheon Port Authority (IPA) held a two-day welcoming event from September 29 to 30 at the Incheon Port International Passenger Terminal for passengers on Korea-China ferries. Organized by the Korea Tourism Organization, the event featured collaborations with the Incheon Tourism Organization and the private company Ottogi to showcase Korean culture and cuisine, including K-pop, traditional Samulnori performances, and K-food tastings.

The initiative aims to transform the port from a mere transit point into a space of travel enjoyment, fostering a positive image of Incheon Port to encourage repeat visits and increase ferry passenger demand. Programs included photo zones, SNS events, and souvenir giveaways.

Separately, the IPA launched its first collaborative activity under the ‘Incheon ESG Sharing Cooperation Body.’ Approximately 40 employees from six regional public and related institutions participated in a marine debris cleanup at Seonnyeo-bawi Beach on Yeongjongdo to promote environmental conservation and regional social responsibility.
