Inclusive sporting events scheduled in Italy for people with disabilities

Various inclusive sporting events are scheduled in Italy to promote social integration and community engagement for people with disabilities.

In Cuneo, an open day for blind and visually impaired youth will take place on September 12 at the San Paolo field. Led by FISPIC coaches, the session allows participants to experience football using sound-emitting balls. The initiative aims to foster autonomy, social skills, and group cohesion through a sport that has seen significant growth in Italy.

In Somma Lombardo, the second edition of the ‘Torneo in ricordo di Max e Mauro’ will be held on September 19 at the Santa Maria Maddalena oratory. Organized by Fondazione Anffas Ticino ETS, the event features a football tournament with four teams composed of people with disabilities. The day serves as a memorial for Mauro and Massimiliano, focusing on building community ties and providing a space for participants to engage with the local territory.
