LMB Playoffs: Diablos Rojos force series return while Toros advance to North Zone Final

The 2026 Liga Mexicana de Béisbol (LMB) playoffs are reaching critical stages across multiple zones. In the South Zone, the Diablos Rojos del México have kept their season alive by defeating the Pericos de Puebla. Despite Puebla holding a 3-2 series lead, a dominant pitching performance by Trevor Bauer and strong hitting from Franklin Barreto helped the Diablos secure a key victory to force the series back to Mexico City.

In the South Zone, the Guerreros de Oaxaca have taken a commanding 3-1 series lead over the Olmecas de Tabasco following a 6-4 victory. Mel Rojas Jr. has been a standout performer for Oaxaca, contributing significantly to their offensive momentum.

In the North Zone, the Toros de Tijuana have advanced to the North Zone Final after defeating the Charros de Jalisco in a dramatic ten-inning game, secured by a home run from Franchy Cordero. The Sultanes de Monterrey have also secured their place in the North Zone Final after defeating the Caliente de Durango. The championship series for the North Zone will feature a matchup between the Toros and the Sultanes.
