Independiente faces management instability after 2022 elections
The management of the Argentine football club Independiente has faced significant instability following the 2022 elections. The election, which saw record attendance of nearly 16,000 members, was intended to remove the influence of the Camioneros union, led by Hugo and Pablo Moyano, from the institution.
The winning alliance, known as Unidad CAI, was composed of a trinomio including Fabián Doman, Néstor Grindetti, and Juan Marconi. However, the administration was marked by rapid departures and internal friction. President Fabián Doman resigned after only six months without providing clear explanations, followed by Juan Marconi, who left after eight months. Néstor Grindetti, who assumed the presidency following Doman's resignation, described his role as an unexpected burden while balancing other political commitments.
