India's arms shipments to Israel in Gaza war face Amnesty scrutiny
Amnesty International released a report on 30 July 2026 titled “Made in India: Weapons and Ammunition Supplied to Israel”. The investigation found that between 7 October 2023 and 30 November 2025 India exported at least 2,596 consignments of weapons, ammunition and components to Israel. The shipments contained roughly 390,516 small‑arms parts, 564,970 explosive‑munitions components and 298 vehicle‑related parts, which were delivered to major Israeli defence firms including Elbit Systems, Rafael Advanced Defense Systems and Israel Aerospace Industries.
Amnesty says the exports pose a real risk of being used in violations of international humanitarian law and could amount to complicity in genocide in Gaza. The report excluded any cargo that might have been intended for civilian use. India, which has never joined the Arms Trade Treaty and abstained from its adoption vote in 2013, defended its export policy as compliant with domestic law and international obligations, according to a Ministry of External Affairs spokesperson.
