India accused of supplying weapons to Israel for Gaza war

Amnesty International released a report titled “Made in India: The Supply of Weapons and Ammunition to Israel” on 30 July 2026, documenting at least 2,596 shipments from India to Israel between 7 Oct 2023 and 30 Nov 2025. The shipments included roughly 390,516 small‑arms parts, 564,970 explosive components such as drone warhead fragments, and 298 vehicle‑related components that were delivered to major Israeli defence firms. Indian companies named in the report include PLR Systems (a joint venture of Adani Defence & Aerospace and Israel Weapon Industries), Indo MIM, Kalyani Systems, Alpha Elsec Defence & Aerospace (Alpha Design and Elbit Systems), as well as state‑linked firms Munitions India, India Optel and Advanced Weapons and Equipment India.

Amnesty warns that the continued exports make India complicit in alleged war crimes and possible genocide in Gaza, where more than 70,000 Palestinians have been killed and over 172,000 injured since the conflict began. The organization calls for an immediate comprehensive arms embargo on Israel and a halt to all defence‑industry dealings. The findings echo conclusions of the UN Independent International Commission of Inquiry, which has described Israeli actions in Gaza as genocide. India has not publicly responded to the accusations.
