India and Brazil sign ICT cooperation agreement

India and Brazil have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to strengthen cooperation in the Information and Communication Technology (ICT) sector. The agreement was finalized during the 12th BRICS Communications Ministers' meeting held in Pune.

According to the Department of Telecommunications, the pact aims to foster digital innovation, strengthen digital infrastructure, and advance collaboration in emerging technologies. Indian Union Minister for Communications Jyotiraditya M. Scindia and Brazilian Minister Frederico de Queiroz Silva signed the agreement.

The cooperation will cover several key areas, including universal connectivity, cybersecurity, digital public infrastructure, capacity building, and the exchange of best practices. The initiative is intended to build a secure, inclusive, and future-oriented digital ecosystem between the two nations.
