India and Greece strengthen strategic defence and maritime ties

India and Greece are working to deepen strategic defence and maritime cooperation. In New Delhi, Indian Defence Secretary Rajesh Kumar Singh met with Greece’s Deputy Minister of Maritime Affairs and Insular Policy, Stefanos Gkikas, to discuss coastal security, shipbuilding, and the safety of seafarers.

In a separate meeting in Athens, India’s Ambassador to Greece, Ravi Shankar, met with Greek Minister of National Defence Nikos Dendias. The discussions focused on regional security challenges and the potential for expanded strategic defence ties between the two nations.

Additionally, Defence Secretary Singh met with the newly appointed German Ambassador to India, Jasper Wieck, to discuss strengthening bilateral defence ties and the India-Germany strategic partnership.
