India and Netherlands discuss public health cooperation

An Indian delegation, led by Additional Secretary Vijay Nehra of the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare and accompanied by Ambassador Kumar Tuhin, visited the Dutch National Institute for Public Health and the Environment (RIVM) in Amsterdam. The visit included meetings with Director General Dr. Isabel Arends and her team to discuss public health issues and explore potential cooperation between India and the Netherlands.

This visit follows previous high-level engagements focused on water management. In July, a delegation led by K V L Kantha Rao, Secretary of the Jal Shakti Ministry, met with Dutch officials, including Jaap Slootmaker, Director General in the Ministry of Infrastructure and Water Management. Those discussions covered technical consultations for the Kalpasar Project in Gujarat and included visits to institutions such as TU Delft and Deltares.
