India and Singapore Review Strategic Partnership Progress in New Delhi
The 19th round of India‑Singapore Foreign Office Consultations was held in New Delhi on 6 August 2026. The Indian delegation, led by Secretary (East) Rudrendra Tandon, met the Singaporean team headed by Permanent Secretary (Policy) Luke Goh. Both sides reviewed the implementation of the eight priority areas set out in the Roadmap for the India‑Singapore Comprehensive Strategic Partnership, which was elevated to that level during Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to Singapore in September 2024 and formally launched when Singapore Prime Minister Lawrence Wong visited India in September 2025.
Discussions covered regional and global developments, reaffirming close coordination at forums such as ASEAN. The talks highlighted new cooperation opportunities in manufacturing, technology, food security, energy flows, digitalisation, sustainability, connectivity, healthcare, and defence. Permanent Secretary Goh also met External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar, Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri, and other senior officials, underscoring the deepening institutional ties between the two nations.
