India announces large‑scale recruitment for senior residents and UPSC specialist posts

Indira Gandhi Hospital (Dwarka) in New Delhi issued a notification for 13 senior resident vacancies across Medicine, Anesthesia, General Surgery, Orthopedics, Ophthalmology, and Radio‑diagnosis. Candidates must hold an MD/DNB/Diploma, be registered with the Delhi Medical Council, and be under 45 years (with age relaxations for reserved categories). Walk‑in interviews and document verification will be held on 13 July at the hospital’s admin block, with salaries ranging from ₹67,700 to ₹208,700 per month and additional allowances.

The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) launched an online recruitment drive for 48 specialist posts in various ministries, including assistant professors in clinical hematology, endocrinology, neonatology, nuclear medicine, pulmonary medicine, pediatric cardiology, and surgical gastroenterology, among others. Applications opened on 11 July and close on 31 July. Eligibility requires a relevant graduate or master’s degree and 1‑3 years of experience, with age limits generally between 30 and 43 years (maximum 56 years). Selected candidates will be hired under pay levels 7‑11 of the 7th CPC pay matrix, with corresponding salary and benefits.
