India-Brazil bilateral trade grows tenfold to over $15 billion
Bilateral trade between India and Brazil has increased tenfold over the last two decades, according to Brazil Consul General Jose Mauro da Fonseca Costa Couto. Speaking at the Global Impact Forum in Mumbai, Costa Couto noted that two-way trade has risen from USD 1.5 billion in 2004 to more than USD 15 billion at present.
The forum, held under the theme ‘Civilisational Legacy’, serves as a precursor to the upcoming BRICS Summit scheduled to take place in Delhi on September 12-13. Costa Couto highlighted the forum as a platform for nations to discuss development pathways and promote closer ties between their respective populations.
