India continues arms exports to Israel amid Gaza genocide concerns
Amnesty International’s report "Made in India: The Supply of Weapons and Ammunition to Israel" documents that at least 2,596 consignments of weapons, ammunition, parts and accessories have been shipped from India to Israel since 7 October 2023. The shipments involve Indian companies that are directly owned or controlled by the Indian state and are supplied to large Israeli defence firms that support the Israeli military.
The report says India has maintained a profitable defence partnership with Israel and has not regulated these exports despite international law and International Court of Justice measures that recognize a plausible risk of genocide against Palestinians in Gaza. Amnesty International’s secretary‑general Agnès Callamard warned that India’s continued arms transfers amount to a risk of complicity in the ongoing genocide in Gaza.
