India delivers medical supplies to Kabul hospital

India has delivered a shipment of medicines and medical consumables to a government hospital in Kabul as part of its ongoing humanitarian assistance to Afghanistan. The Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) stated that this delivery aims to augment Afghanistan’s healthcare and reaffirms an enduring health partnership with the Afghan people.

This latest aid follows a series of humanitarian efforts by India. Last month, India provided food items and family tents to Afghanistan’s National Disaster Management Authority to assist communities affected by devastating floods in Nuristan. In June, the country delivered 5 tonnes of essential medicines to Kabul.

MEA spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal noted that India’s engagement with Afghanistan has expanded over the past year, focusing on diplomatic exchanges, humanitarian support, and development initiatives. The nature of this engagement will continue to be guided by these humanitarian and developmental priorities.
