India-EU FTA to drive trade and circular economy cooperation
Antti Herlevi, the Trade Counsellor at the Embassy of Finland, stated that the Free Trade Agreement (FTA) between India and the European Union is expected to create new opportunities for businesses on both sides and elevate commercial cooperation. He noted that European companies are eager to work more closely with Indian industries and are awaiting the effective implementation of the agreement.
The agreement is anticipated to facilitate trade expansion, investment, and business partnerships, while also strengthening cooperation within global supply chains. Herlevi highlighted that India could benefit from Finland's expertise in developing a circular economy, focusing on resource reuse, recycling, and sustainable production systems to reduce costs and environmental impact.
