India food safety raids seize adulterated ghee and illegal fast‑food godown

The Hyderabad Food Adulteration Surveillance Team (H‑FAST) and a Food Safety Officer raided an illegal fast‑food godown near Charminar, discovering food prepared without an FSSAI licence, use of prohibited artificial colours, reused cooking oil and poor pest control. Officers seized about 110 kg of fried chicken, six 15‑litre tins of oil and artificial colourants and detained two operators.

In a coordinated operation across Delhi and Haryana, the Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI) confiscated more than 6,500 litres of adulterated ghee and related raw materials from two manufacturing units—one in Dwarka, Delhi, and another in Sonipat, Haryana. The seized stock, ready for market distribution, included spurious ghee mixed with vegetable oils. An FIR was filed against the alleged perpetrators.
