India hosts BRICS ministers to advance digital cooperation

India is hosting the 12th BRICS Communications Ministers Meeting to advance cooperation in Information and Communication Technologies (ICT). Under the chairship theme ‘Building for Resilience, Innovation, Cooperation and Sustainability’, the discussions aim to strengthen digital transformation and resilient digital infrastructure among member states.

The agenda focuses on several key pillars, including artificial intelligence, next-generation communications, cybersecurity, and Digital Public Infrastructure (DPI). Officials are also examining Industry 4.0 internet applications and capacity building to support digital development across the BRICS nations and the wider Global South.

As part of the ICT Track theme, ‘Innovate, Cooperate and Transform (ICT) for a Resilient Future’, the meeting serves as a platform for member countries to exchange national experiences and best practices. The initiative builds upon previous cooperation efforts established during Brazil’s 2025 BRICS chairship.
