India International Water Week 2026 opens in New Delhi

Vice President C. P. Radhakrishnan is inaugurating the 9th India International Water Week (IIWW) 2026 in New Delhi. The five-day event, held from September 22-26 at Bharat Mandapam, focuses on the theme ‘Climate Resilient Water Management’.

Organized by the Ministry of Jal Shakti in collaboration with various central ministries, state governments, and international organizations, the summit aims to address emerging water challenges through dialogue, innovation, and partnership. The event brings together policymakers, researchers, industry leaders, and civil society to advance water security and sustainable management.

Germany and the Netherlands are participating as partner countries, while 14 Indian states are involved as partner states. Discussions will cover topics including equitable water governance, technology for water security, and innovative financing models for water infrastructure.
