India launches first Telecom Manufacturing Zone in Gwalior
India's Department of Telecommunications and the Madhya Pradesh government signed a Memorandum of Understanding on July 30 2026 to create the country's first Telecom Manufacturing Zone (TMZ) in Gwalior. The 350‑acre plug‑and‑play campus will be developed under a special‑purpose vehicle, with the state holding 51 % and the centre 49 % ownership.
