India launches National Teacher Awards 2026 applications and UPSC recruitment for 450 posts

The Ministry of Education has opened online applications for the National Teacher Awards 2026. The process began on 15 June, with a final submission deadline of 10 July. Eligible teachers from government, central‑state, and recognized private schools can apply, and selection will proceed through district, state and national committees, with award ceremonies slated for early September.

Separately, the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) issued a notification for 450 vacancies for 2026, covering posts such as Drug Inspectors, medical officers, aviation and defence photographers, legal officers, and specialists in various health and technical fields across multiple ministries. Candidates are invited to submit applications as per the official guidelines.

Both initiatives aim to recognize excellence in education and to fill critical government positions ahead of the upcoming financial year.
