India MEA Secretary Sripriya Ranganathan to visit Egypt, Palestine, and Lebanon

Ambassador Sripriya Ranganathan, Secretary (Consular, Passport & Visa and Overseas Indian Affairs) at India’s Ministry of External Affairs, will conduct a six-day official visit to Egypt, Palestine, and Lebanon from August 16 to 21, 2026.

The mission aims to strengthen India’s existing ties with these nations and facilitate discussions regarding regional developments and mutual interests. During the visit to Egypt, Ranganathan is scheduled to deliver a keynote address at a seminar titled ‘India-Egypt in BRICS: Towards a Stronger Voice for the Global South,’ which will examine ways to deepen the bilateral partnership within the expanded BRICS framework.

This trip marks Ranganathan’s first visit to these three locations in her current capacity. The engagement follows India’s recent diplomatic support for Palestine’s bid for full United Nations membership and its continued commitment to a negotiated resolution for regional conflicts.
