India opposition MPs condemn exam paper leak and police force in NEET protests

Socialist Party leader Akhilesh Yadav addressed the Lok Sabha, claiming that the removal of former education minister Dharmendra Pradhan averted a crisis for the Prime Minister. He accused the BJP government of failing to stop the leakage of examination papers, citing at least 20 leaked NEET, class‑10 and class‑12 papers, and warned that future leaks were inevitable.

Congress MP Priyanka Gandhi Vadra and Samajwadi Party MP Dimpal Yadav also condemned the government, alleging that police used pellet guns and even AK‑47‑type weapons against students protesting the leaks. They raised concerns about intimidation of protestors and their families, calling for the government to respect students' right to demonstr­ate and to address the examination corruption.

Both opposition parties demanded accountability from the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party and urged immediate action to safeguard the integrity of India's education system.
