India provides medical aid to Sri Lanka and explores energy ties with Oman
India has delivered approximately three tons of anti-tuberculosis medicines to Sri Lanka via an Indian Air Force C-130J aircraft to support the nation's public health system. This medical aid follows recent infrastructure developments, including the commencement of a new two-story accident and emergency unit at the Mannar District General Hospital, a project funded by a 600 million Sri Lankan rupee grant from India.
In a separate diplomatic development, Oman's Ambassador to India, Issa Saleh Abdullah Al Shibani, highlighted significant opportunities for cooperation between India and Oman in the sectors of energy, security, and sustainable aviation fuel (SAF). The Ambassador noted that both nations share airspace and are working toward zero-fuel emission goals, with Oman targeting 2050 and India targeting 2070.
