India raises terrorism issue at BRICS summit, says Ram Kadam
BJP legislator Ram Kadam stated that India raised the issue of terrorism on the BRICS platform, emphasizing that cross-border terrorism will not be tolerated. He noted that the echoes of the Pahalgam terror attack have extended beyond Parliament to the international stage, where India has called for global solidarity against terrorism.
Kadam described the BRICS summit as a significant international event and criticized the opposition, specifically the Congress party, for questioning its importance. He accused the opposition of engaging in 'politics of revenge' and urged them to prioritize national interests over political opposition.
Additionally, Kadam addressed domestic issues, including the Maratha reservation movement. He asserted that while the government stands firmly with the community, any decisions regarding reservations must meet constitutional and judicial standards. He also accused the Congress and Sharad Pawar of opposing Maratha reservations.
