India reaffirms support for Palestinian two-state solution
During an official visit to Palestine, India's Ministry of External Affairs Secretary Sripriya Ranganathan reaffirmed India's longstanding support for the Palestinian people and a negotiated two-state solution. In meetings with Palestinian Foreign Minister Varsen Aghabekian Shahin and Prime Minister Mohammad Mustafa, Ranganathan discussed bilateral relations and the urgent humanitarian crisis in Gaza.
India emphasized the need for safe and unhindered delivery of humanitarian assistance to Gaza. The discussions also focused on expanding India's development partnership with Palestine, specifically in the sectors of health, education, and skills development. As part of this cooperation, India has provided essential medicines, anti-cancer drugs, and deployed an Indian field hospital in Gaza.
Additionally, Ranganathan met with the League of Arab States to discuss the 2026-28 Executive Programme and strengthen regional partnerships.
