India rejects OIC remarks on Jammu and Kashmir

India has rejected remarks made by the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) Contact Group regarding Jammu and Kashmir, labeling the references as “unwarranted and factually incorrect.” The Indian Ministry of External Affairs asserted that the OIC has no authority to comment on India’s internal matters, maintaining that Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh are integral and inalienable parts of the country.

Furthermore, India criticized the OIC for providing a platform to what it described as “fabricated and motivated propaganda” from Pakistan. The Ministry urged the international organization to instead focus on addressing the threat of terrorism originating from territories under Pakistani control.
