Indian Army Chief General Dhiraj Seth visits Russia to bolster defence ties

Indian Army Chief of the Army Staff (COAS) General Dhiraj Seth is conducting a three-day official visit to Russia, scheduled from September 16 to September 18, to strengthen the longstanding defence partnership between the two nations.

During his stay in Moscow, General Seth visited the Russian Land Forces Headquarters to discuss deepening military cooperation, expanding training engagements, and enhancing capability development between the two armies. He also met with senior officials, including Colonel General Andrei Nikolayevich Mordvichev, Commander-in-Chief of the Russian Land Forces, to address issues of mutual interest and professional military cooperation.

The visit includes engagements at the National Defence Control Centre and discussions with Vasily Sergeyevich Osmakov, the Russian Deputy Minister of Defence for defence industry and procurement. Additionally, General Seth is scheduled to travel to Saint Petersburg to visit the Mikhailovskaya Military Artillery Academy to interact with its leadership and faculty.
