Indian Army Chief General Dhiraj Seth visits Russia to boost defence ties

Indian Army Chief General Dhiraj Seth has concluded a three-day official visit to Russia, marking the first visit by an Indian Army Chief to the country in eight years. The visit aimed to strengthen defence cooperation and military ties between the two nations.

During the trip, General Seth met with high-ranking Russian officials, including Deputy Minister of Defence General Yunus-Bek Yevkurov and Commander-in-Chief of the Russian Land Forces Colonel General Andrei Mordvichev. Discussions centered on joint capability development, professional military exchanges, training engagements, and expanding Army-to-Army cooperation.

In addition to meetings at the Russian Ministry of Defence and the Russian Land Forces Headquarters, General Seth met with India's Ambassador to Russia, Vinay Kumar, to discuss measures for enhancing defence ties. The visit included ceremonial honors in Moscow and St. Petersburg.
