Indian Army Chief General Dhiraj Seth begins official visit to Nepal
Indian Army Chief General Dhiraj Seth has arrived in Nepal for a four-day official visit aimed at strengthening defense cooperation and military-to-military ties. During the visit, General Seth will participate in a long-standing bilateral tradition where he will be conferred the honorary rank of General of the Nepali Army by President Ram Chandra Paudel at an investiture ceremony.
General Seth’s itinerary includes laying a wreath at the Army Pavilion in Tundikhel, receiving a Guard of Honour at the Nepali Army Headquarters, and holding bilateral discussions with Nepali Army Chief General Ashok Raj Sigdel. He is also scheduled to address student officers at the Army Command and Staff Course in Shivapuri and attend an ex-servicemen rally in Pokhara to interact with veterans and gallantry awardees.
The visit underscores the historical and strategic relationship between the two nations, characterized by shared cultural links and ongoing military cooperation, including training and joint exercises.
