Indian conglomerates Vedanta and Adani report Q1 FY2026-27 earnings
Vedanta Ltd posted a quarterly net profit of ₹5,473 crore for the April‑June period, an 18 % decline from the previous quarter, while revenue fell about 1 % to ₹23,456 crore. Despite higher input costs, strong performance in zinc, copper and silver helped offset the drop. The board approved the demerger of Vedanta’s property business into Vedanta Property Platforms Ltd and re‑appointed Arun Mishra as executive director and CEO for one year, subject to shareholder approval.
Adani Enterprises Ltd recorded a record quarterly EBITDA of ₹5,642 crore, a 49 % year‑on‑year increase, with total income rising 50 % to ₹33,546 crore. The company highlighted new international operations at Navi Mumbai Airport, the start of toll collection on the Ganga Expressway, expansion of solar module capacity and a large hyper‑scale data‑centre order as key growth drivers. Chairman Gautam Adani said the results reflect the strength of the group’s diversified infrastructure and incubation platforms.
