Indian defence firms Astra Microwave and Apollo Micro Systems secure major contracts

Astra Microwave Products Ltd saw its shares jump nearly 14% to a fresh 52‑week high after announcing a Rs 2,205.23 crore order from Hindustan Aeronautics Ltd. The contract supplies 122 Advanced Airborne Active Array Units and 121 interface frames for HAL’s Uttam Radar programme, a deal larger than the company’s full order book from the previous fiscal year and expected to boost revenue growth into FY27.

Apollo Micro Systems Ltd shares rose over 3% following the delivery of an indigenously developed Safety & Detonation Device to the Indian Navy. The device, critical for ammunition and missile safety, passed extensive testing before acceptance, marking a shift from imported equipment to domestic production under India’s self‑reliance drive. The company’s market capitalisation now stands at about Rs 14,460 crore.
