Indian influencer robbed after posting videos of family wealth

An Indian influencer and content creator, known as Madhumitha, has fallen victim to a robbery in Nagercoil, Tamil Nadu, after frequently posting videos showcasing her family’s wealth on social media.

Thieves broke into the family home while they were away on a short trip to Tirunelveli. The stolen items include approximately 944 grams (118 sovereign) of gold jewelry, diamond ornaments, and cash totaling INR 50,000. The total value of the stolen goods is estimated at nearly INR 10 million.

Police are investigating whether Madhumitha’s social media activity, which included displaying large sums of cash and discussing monthly gold purchases, provided the perpetrators with the information needed to target the residence. Forensic teams and fingerprint experts have been deployed to the scene, and authorities are reviewing CCTV footage and digital footprints to identify the suspects.
