Indian Minister Kiren Rijiju Criticises Opposition Over Exam Reform Bill Debate

Union Parliamentary Affairs Minister Kiren Rijiju said opposition parties, including the Congress, were using the debate on the Public Examinations (Prevention of Unfair Means) Amendment Bill to play politics rather than discuss its merits. He criticised remarks by Priyanka Gandhi Vadra and asserted that no member had spoken about the bill’s provisions.

Rijiju highlighted the bill’s aim to curb examination paper leaks and other malpractices, describing it as historic and revolutionary. He noted that the Narendra Modi government has set up a high‑powered task force to recommend reforms and urged all parties to allow Parliament to function smoothly and pass the legislation for the benefit of students nationwide.
