Indian Motorcycle launches limited‑edition Chief Vintage Sturgis, SD Edition

Indian Motorcycle unveiled a special‑edition Chief Vintage Sturgis, SD Edition at the 86th annual Sturgis Motorcycle Rally in South Dakota. The bike features a classic two‑tone Indian Red and Cream paint scheme, a multicoloured headdress logo reminiscent of the 1930s, and a painted number 56 on the side plate that references the hand‑painted numbers of the rally’s original racers.

The model is limited to 125 numbered motorcycles, marking the brand’s 125th anniversary, and includes modern performance upgrades such as a Thunderstroke 116 V‑Twin engine, three riding modes and a 4‑inch touchscreen display. CEO Mike Kennedy said the launch honors the riders and dealers who founded the rally in 1938 and celebrates the enduring spirit of freedom among motorcyclists. A small allocation of the edition will also be shipped outside North America, including to the Benelux region.
