Indian Motorcycle unveils limited Chief Vintage Sturgis SD Edition
Indian Motorcycle has unveiled the Chief Vintage Sturgis SD Edition, a limited-production cruiser designed to commemorate the 86th Sturgis Motorcycle Rally and the brand's 125th anniversary. Only 125 units will be produced globally, with reports indicating that only two of these models will be available in France.
The motorcycle features a retro design inspired by the 1930s, utilizing a dual-tone ‘Indian Motorcycle Red’ and ‘Cream’ color scheme. It includes historical design elements such as the ‘Headdress Logo’, skirted fenders, wire-spoke wheels, and a ‘Vintage Espresso’ single seat. To honor the early days of the Sturgis rally, the number ‘56’ is featured on the side panels, referencing hand-painted racing numbers used by original participants.
Underneath its vintage aesthetic, the bike is powered by an air-cooled ‘Thunderstroke 116’ V-twin engine producing 156Nm of torque. Modern technology is integrated via a 4-inch circular touchscreen featuring the RIDE COMMAND system, offering three riding modes: Tour, Standard, and Sport.
