A 58-year-old Indian man died following a medical emergency during a Malaysia Airlines flight from Kuala Lumpur to Sydney. The passenger reportedly suffered an asthma attack during the approximately eight-hour journey.

Flight crew members and fellow passengers attempted to provide first aid to the man, but he could not be revived. New South Wales Police were dispatched to the international terminal at Sydney Airport around 5:50 pm local time on September 16 after receiving reports that a passenger had become unwell.

Authorities stated that the death is not being treated as suspicious and no further police action is anticipated. Malaysia Airlines and Sydney Airport have not yet issued official statements regarding the incident.
