Passenger death on Malaysia Airlines flight to Sydney

Overview

A 58-year-old Indian passenger died following a medical emergency during a Malaysia Airlines flight from Kuala Lumpur to Sydney. The individual reportedly suffered a severe asthma attack during the approximately eight-hour journey on flight MH141.

Onboard medical assistance, including CPR performed by a doctor, three nurses, and cabin crew, was unsuccessful in reviving the man. Upon the flight’s arrival at Sydney Airport, paramedics attended to the scene.

New South Wales Police stated that the death is not being treated as suspicious and no further investigation is anticipated. Malaysia Airlines expressed condolences to the family and apologized for disruptions to flights MH141 and MH140.
