Police in India arrest multiple suspects in major drug seizures
Police in India have conducted significant anti-narcotics operations in Udupi and Delhi, resulting in multiple arrests and the seizure of illegal substances.
In Udupi, two separate operations by the Shirva and Udupi Town police led to the arrest of nine individuals. Authorities seized approximately 1.35 kg of ganja, 32.74 grams of methamphetamine, and over Rs 75,000 in cash, along with vehicles and mobile phones. Investigators noted that some of the seized ganja was allegedly procured from Kerala.
In Delhi, police arrested a long-time peddler identified as Parvati and her associate, Vikas Kumar, in the Narela area. The operation resulted in the recovery of smack valued at approximately Rs 2 crore. Officials stated that Parvati has been active in the region since 1994 and has a history of multiple criminal cases.
