Indian Railways announces 1,688 undergraduate vacancies

The Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) has opened applications for 1,688 Non-Technical Popular Categories (NTPC) undergraduate positions under Centralised Employment Notice (CEN) 07/2026. The available roles include Commercial Cum Ticket Clerk, Accounts Clerk Cum Typist, Junior Clerk Cum Typist, and Trains Clerk.

Eligible candidates must have completed Class 12 from a recognized board and fall within the age range of 18 to 30 years as of January 1, 2027, with age relaxations applicable for reserved categories. The selection process consists of five stages: two Computer Based Tests, a typing skill test where applicable, document verification, and a medical examination.

The application window opened on October 15, 2026, and will close on November 13, 2026. The deadline for online fee payment is November 15, 2026. An application modification window will be available from November 16 to November 25, 2026, to allow candidates to correct submitted forms.
