Indian Railways expands services for Ramdevra Mela
Indian Railways is implementing several measures to manage increased passenger traffic during the Ramdevra Mela. To accommodate the influx of devotees, authorities are increasing the capacity of existing services and introducing new special trains.
Two existing rail services—the Lalgarh-Jaisalmer-Lalgarh and the Jaisalmer-Jaipur-Jaisalmer routes—will see a temporary increase in coaches. Specifically, three general class coaches and one SLR coach will be added to these services between September 11 and September 27, 2026.
Additionally, three pairs of special Mela trains will be introduced. Two pairs will operate between Bhagat Ki Kothi and Ramdevra from September 11 to September 25, while another pair will run between Sri Ganganagar and Pokaran from September 12 to September 26. These special services are intended to reduce pressure on regular trains and provide more travel options for pilgrims.
